Charity begins at home

When we’re not busy in the kitchen, we’re doing our bit for the community. Not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it’s so close to home for us. We give up our time to make a difference to the places we live and work in, and the people we share them with. In return, we get back so much more.

Charity work

We give generously to Real Aid, Help for Heroes, Children’s Hospice, and many more local charities and initiatives in and around Yorkshire. Many of our colleagues give their own time to help out. So, each year, we hold our People to be Proud of Awards to recognise all the good deeds our staff are doing. We also offer support to our colleagues, past and present, and their children.

Child’s play

Over the last four years, we’ve helped send 375 children on an Outward Bound adventure to help them build confidence, take part in team challenges and enjoy the great outdoors.

We’ve made lasting friendships with our partner schools in the local community, where we offer free career and CV advice to pupils of all ages. We’re also long-term supporters of Young Enterprise – the UK’s leading charity that empowers young people to harness their personal and business skills.

Supporting healthy lifestyles

You can enjoy our food as part of a healthy, balanced diet. And as long as your body is getting everything it needs – plenty of fruit and veg, and regular exercise – you can have the odd sweet treat now and again. Everything in moderation, as they say.
