Bacon Topped Chicken Crown

A roast dinner always deserves a special centrepiece, so why not serve up our mouth-watering Chicken Crown - topped with rashers of tender bacon, it's simply perfect for enjoying with friends and family.

How to Cook

For best results, cook from frozen. The following instructions are guidelines only. Wash hands, utensils and all surfaces after handling raw poultry. Do not wash poultry before cooking. Ensure the product is piping hot, thoroughly cooked, juices run clear and no pink colour remains before serving. The chicken may be slightly pink on the surface after cooking due to being in contact with the bacon, this will not affect the eating quality.

 

Defrost in a refrigerator for 24 hours.

Remove from the freezer and place in the fridge for 24 hours.

Once defrosted, use immediately. 

 

Oven from defrost (1 hour 35 mins)

Pre-heat 200ºC/Fan 180ºC/Gas Mark 6. Remove from outer carton, leaving the joint in the sealed bag in the foil tray. Cover loosely with foil. Place a baking tray into the middle of the oven. Cook for 1 hour and 20 minutes ten remove the foil covering and return to the oven for a further 15 minutes. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before carving.

 

Oven from frozen (2 hours)

Pre-heat oven 200ºC/Fan 180ºC/Gas Mark 6.Remove sleeve and film from the foil tray. Cover loosely with foil. Place on a baking tray into the middle of the oven. Cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes and then remove the foil covering and return to the oven for a further 30 minutes. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before carving. 

 

Air Fry from frozen (1 hour 10 mins - 1 hour 20 mins)

Pre-heat the air fryer to 150ºC for 3 minutes 30 seconds. Remove all packaging. Place product in basket and place in air fryer. Cook for 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes. Leave to stand for 10 minutes before carving.

 

Storage Instructions

Keep Frozen at -18ºC or colder.

For best before, see front of pack.

Do NOT refreeze after defrosting.
